Anyone can be struggling with an eating disorder, and there is help out there.

It is almost Eating Disorder Awareness Week, February 26 – March 3, and the weekend before Feb 23-25), there is lots of help for anyone struggling with eating disorders.

And in that light, I want to make a public service announcement to anyone reading this…

Eating Disorders Awareness Week -support groupsEating disorders do not have a look. They do not discriminate. Anyone can be struggling with their relationship with food:

  • people in larger bodies
  • people of color
  • boys and men
  • anyone of any gender expression or gender identity, and more!

This weekend the National Alliance for Eating Disorders is increasing awareness about eating disorders; they are offering Free groups around the clock TODAY, Saturday, February 24th, and they have a wonderful helpline.

If you’re not sure if you’re struggling with an eating disorder, but want to speak to somebody, reach out to them.  You can ask them questions of all sorts and figure out what your next step might be.

Reach out to the Alliance. They are here this weekend to help.

You can join the National Alliance for Eating Disorders on Saturday, February 24, 2024, for their National Day of Support, support group, group-a-thon!

The groups have a variety of focus areas and topics:
