We live in a society that too often sends the wrong messages.
Diet culture is rooted in the belief that we must shrink our bodies to conform to Western beauty standards and that there is only one “right” way to eat. This belief system leads to constant body judgment, yo-yo dieting, food restriction and emotional eating.
The stress of being around family and friends, and food at this time of year makes it even more challenging to hear any positive messages through all the noise.
So today, I wanted to send some positive messages to you!
I hope they inspire you to think differently about yourself, your body, and your food. You need to know there is hope and a light at the end of the tunnel if you are struggling with food and your body image.
Your Embrace group program is a gift. I loved every minute. The best self-care I engage in is routinely declining plans to make myself free for our meetings on Thursday evenings. I hope you do it again in January. Thank you both!

This group changed my life. I can’t recommend it highly enough. If anyone is on the fence, take the leap! You will never look back. ❤️❤️❤️

You’re the best! And not just as a nutritionist 🙂 I mean, you’re an amazing nutritionist and an amazing, inspiring, encouraging person.
~ Client, Westchester, New York
Many thanks to you all for this evening’s conversation, as well as for the conversations of the past several weeks; I have been taking all of your words to heart and reflecting on them a great deal between sessions.
~ Participant in Embrace Support Group
These words by our clients are so inspiring, and I hope you received just one nugget and a lot of hope from these positive messages!
As we approach this holiday season… starting with Thanksgiving, promise me you will give yourself permission to make choices and decisions from a place of self-care, not self-control.
How do you know if you are eating emotionally?
The best start is by taking this quiz and then learning if you are an emotional eater.
Your quiz results will give you some understanding of the WHY behind your eating habits and what your next best step is to make peace with food.
